As part of our ongoing effort to make the Decision Engine more transparent and intuitive, we’ve improved one of its key building blocks: the Finish block.
This update helps you understand and control what your AI Agent does at the end of a process, making the UI clearer and more user-friendly - while keeping all existing behaviour unchanged.

What’s changed?

We’ve adjusted the Finish block UI to make it easier to choose the right outcome for your AI Agent. The updated design presents clear, explicit options, with better explanations of what each option does - so it’s easier to understand and configure agent behaviour with confidence.

Finish block options explained

Return to Parent or End process

• If the process is embedded into another process through the “Call process” option, it will return to the parent process at this point.

• If the process is not embedded, it will finish and follow the configuration set up in the Start module → End of activity section.

Request Transfer

The process will finish and follow the configuration set up in the Start module → Don’t understand section.

Go to Module

The process will finish and go to one of the modules selected from the dropdown list. This includes:

• Handovers – follows the configuration set up in the Handover module

• Surveys – follows the configuration set up in the Survey module

Return to Reasoning

The AI Agent returns to its reasoning loop after completing the process. This mean that user message will follow the regular path of intent recognition, knowledge search or clarification if needed.

This setting also allows choosing if the last user message from the process should be reprocessed by the reasoning loop.

• If enabled - Reasoning will initiate intent recognition and knowledge search based on that last message from the process.

• If disabled - to initiate the reasoning loop - AI Agent will wait for the user to continue the conversation with a new message.

As part of this update, the previous Go to module → GenAI option has been replaced in the UI with a clearer and more explicit configuration. If your setup previously used Go to module → GenAI, you can now find this option as Return to Reasoning with a last message toggle disabled.
Your existing flows will continue to work the same way - the option has simply been renamed and clarified in the UI.

Naming comparison for backward compatibility

• Return to Parent or End process → previously: Exit or Return to Parent Process

• Request Transfer → previously: Go to Agent

• Go to Module → previously: Go to Module

  • with an exception to: Go to Module: GenAI which is now Return to Reasoning + last message toggle disabled

• Return to Reasoning + last message toggle enabled → previously: Return to Reasoning
