Voice configuration: Staging phone number and Error fallback
Two new settings are now available in Voice configuration.
Staging phone number
Assign a dedicated phone number to route calls to the Staging version of your AI Agent. Test new configurations, flows, and behavior changes over the phone without touching your production line. The staging number and production number operate independently — changes validated in staging stay in staging until you're ready to deploy.
Error fallback
Define what your AI Agent does when it encounters an unrecoverable error mid-call. Choose one of two behaviors:
Hang up — the call ends cleanly.
Transfer — the caller is routed to a SIP destination you specify. Transfer destination is required when this option is selected.
Both settings are available in Channels under Phone configuration.
